My background in the sport of football is, I grew up playing youth football and ended up a four year letterman in high school. I understand the fundamentals and how to have fun! I also have several years coaching my nephew’s (senior in HS now) NJB basketball team. My daughter Avery will be on the cheer squad for the Jr. Pee Wee, so I thought I would step up and get involved!
My goals for the season are simple: Discipline, Fundamentals, Teamwork, and FUN! At this age if we focus all our energy on these components we can all learn about this great game and have some pride in what we accomplish together. Thats our team war cry: TOGETHER! All the players will learn every skill required to play the game, and all the kids will have equal playing time for the first few games. Eventually the players who earn the leadership roles will get more playing time, but that all has to be earned through sticking to our core goals of Discipline, Fundamentals, Teamwork and FUN!
